Conciliation & Mediation
If you are party to a domestic-relations matter involving children, you are required to attend the District Court Conciliation and Mediation Services parent education program. No trial or final hearing will be scheduled until the parties:
- complete the parent-education program and,
- an approved parenting plan
We provide services to:
- Parents who are parties of:
- dissolution of marriage (divorce) involving children
- paternity cases involving custody, time, visitation, other access and parenting functions
- modifications to existing orders
- Legal Community regarding cases related to domestic-relations involving children
Services we provide:
- Two parenting-education programs
- “What about the children?”
- “Reaching Beyond Conflict”
- Procedural information
- Mediation and facilitation of parenting plans
- Resource information regarding services in the community for parents and children
